On the evening of February 27, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was officially launched, with the standard version priced at RMB 529,900 ( 72,988 USD) , a significant reduction of RMB 285,000 ( 39,256 USD) from the pre-sale price of RMB 814,900 (112,245 USD).
Orders are now open, and the vehicle will be available in two optional packages: the “Racing Kit” and the “Nürburgring Limited Edition.” These packages will be officially released and delivered after the SU7 Ultra completes its Nürburgring lap time challenge. Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, stated during the launch event that the SU7 Ultra aims to redefine the standards of luxury cars, rivaling Tesla in technology, Porsche in performance, and Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi in luxury.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with a super triple-motor system and a high-performance track-grade battery pack, delivering a maximum horsepower of 1,548 PS and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds (excluding launch time). The vehicle comes standard with a track-grade cooling system and top-tier braking system, achieving a braking distance of 30.8 meters from 100 km/h to 0. The Nürburgring-tuned chassis system further enhances handling performance, making the SU7 Ultra track-ready straight from the factory. Additionally, the vehicle features dual-chamber air springs and high-performance adaptive dampers, offering a wider range of spring stiffness and damping adjustments to balance comfort and sportiness.
In terms of aerodynamics, the SU7 Ultra builds on the SU7 Max with enhanced aerodynamic components and increased dimensions, measuring 5,115 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,465 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The front features an oversized splitter and air dam, while the rear incorporates an active diffuser and a carbon fiber fixed wing, generating up to 285 kg of downforce. The vehicle utilizes carbon fiber extensively, with 21 carbon fiber components covering a total area of 5.5 m², including a 1.7 m² carbon fiber roof that reduces weight by 11 kg. The SU7 Ultra also comes standard with a 24K gold carbon fiber emblem, emphasizing its luxury and sporty character.
Inside, the SU7 Ultra features a redesigned interior with upgraded seats and steering wheel in a track-inspired style. The seats include active side bolsters and are adorned with racing-inspired embroidery and Ultra badges. The steering wheel is crafted from carbon fiber, wrapped in Alcantara® microfiber for enhanced grip, and features a yellow center marker at the 12 o’clock position for better orientation during aggressive driving. The interior is available in three color schemes: Bright Yellow (yellow/black), Black/Yellow, and Black/Red. For added comfort, the front seats are equipped with ventilation and massage functions, while both rows feature graphene heating for improved warmth.
Under the hood, the SU7 Ultra is powered by Xiaomi’s in-house developed super triple-motor system, comprising two V8s motors and one V6s motor. The V8s motor boasts a maximum speed of 27,200 rpm, making it one of the most powerful production drive motors available. The vehicle is equipped with CATL’s Qilin II high-performance battery pack, offering a maximum discharge rate of 16C and a peak charging rate of 5.2C, enabling a 10%-80% charge in just 11 minutes. The CLTC-rated range reaches up to 630 km. Additionally, the SU7 Ultra features an advanced cooling system capable of dissipating 2.7*10⁶ J per minute, ensuring it can complete two consecutive Nürburgring laps without overheating.
